The Friendship Club

Friendships are everything to our preteen and teen girls.

It is right here in her friendships that she will take important steps towards independence and explore who she is.

But they aren’t always easy for our girls, especially in today’s tech heavy world.

The Friendship Club is a special space, created and led by Fiona to have fun and give the girls the chance to have new experiences, build friendships and step outside their comfort zone to shine and grow.

“These days, childhood is on fast-forward, and kids are cruising through these years without learning essential life skills. They don’t have the time to practice friendship skills, and they don’t get the necessary feedback to learn better ways to relate.”

— Katie Hurley, LCSW

We’re in this together!

Research shows that during the preteen years, girls often experience a noticeable drop in confidence - a trend not seen as strongly in boys. That’s why I created the Friendship Club: a space for preteen girls in Valencia to grow, connect, and thrive.

Here, girls get the chance to try new and exciting challenges, discover their strengths, and build real friendships along the way. With every experience, they’re not just having fun - they’re learning resilience, courage, and the joy of cheering each other on.

The Friendship Club is more than activities - it’s about helping girls feel seen, supported, and confident as they take on the adventure of growing up.

  • I wanted a safe and nurturing environment for my daughter to develop better communication skills, overcome her shyness, and gain a deeper understanding of herself and others. [She] has flourished in The Friendship Club and learned many invaluable lessons. We are eagerly looking forward to the next year!

  • Friendship club is amazing. I love talking with other girls about friendship, painting, making bracelets and crafts. I made so many friends and it's very fun because I'm with people who speak my language!

  • Friendship Club has been such an impactful experience for both myself and my daughter. As an expat family in Spain, it was an easy way for our daughter and us as parents to make like-minded connections near our home. The content covered has also been a doorway to deeper conversations. Very grateful.
